Lucie Clech

Lucie is an interdisciplinary scientist with a background in social sciences and ecology/evolution of behaviours. Most of her research uses a mixed-methods approach, is evidence-based and fieldwork-based. Her main research interest focuses on behavioural changes and adaptations, especially in countries facing demographic, economic, social or ecological variations. She completed her PhD in evolutionary anthropology at the University of Bristol (UK) on migration and mobility in Ethiopia, focusing on family dynamics, land access, support network and livelihood security.

Then she was a postdoc at Stanford University (USA) and worked on livelihood security, family dynamics in Uganda. She has done some consultancies on a variety of population health issues, including parasitic disease transmission and/or their impacts on demographic and social behaviour.

Lucie is now a postdoc on the ClimHB project and is in charge of the population dimension and is co-responsible for the health provider dimension with Valery Ridde. If you need to discuss protocol and data, she is the person to contact! In her free time, she is passionate about sculpture and ancient philosophy. She swims, enjoys art exhibitions and museums and is an avid hiker.
