Mrittika Barua

Mrittika is a mixed-method researcher inclined towards qualitative. She has more than 9 years of experience working on gender, sexual and reproductive health and rights, health system, infectious diseases (tuberculosis) and implementation research. She is currently working as an Assistant Professor at BRAC James P. Grant School of Public Health (BRAC-JPGSPH) of BRAC University, Bangladesh since April 2021. She completed her PhD from Radboud University Nijmegen of Netherlands. The PhD thesis is a mixed-method research dominated by a qualitative approach looking at the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women and men with tuberculosis in Bangladesh. She published in several peer-reviewed journals and presented papers at international conferences.

Besides research, she also teaches in the Master of Public Health program of BRAC- JPGSPH and supervises the students in their thesis. She is now leading the qualitative component of the ClimHB project.
