Nazmul Islam

Nazmul is an experienced researcher with a demonstrated history of evaluating social/development interventions. He graduated from the University of Verona in 2017 with a Master’s in Economics. He works as a Senior Research Fellow at the BRAC James P. Grant School of Public Health (BRAC JPGSPH). His research interests include health economics, development economics, climate change, and impact evaluation. He evaluated different interesting development interventions. Among his previous works, evaluating the thermal performance of cool roofs in an urban low-income setting, assessing the impact of health loans in improving access to healthcare, and measuring the effectiveness of edutainment programs in changing perceptions related to child marriage are noteworthy. Nazmul has published his works in international peer-reviewed journals. Besides research, he regularly teaches public health students and professionals about quantitative research methods and data analyses at BRAC University.
